The Jaguar E-Type, one of the most legendary sports cars ever, is primarily known for its beauty. Enzo Ferrari called him "the most beautiful car that was ever built", and he still scores in all lists of the most beautiful cars all over the world. But it is much more than just a pretty face. When he made his debut at the Geneva Motor Show in 1961, he was one of the most technologically demanding cars ever. His flowing silhouette, which was developed by the brilliant aerodynamic Malcom Sayer, used mathematical formulas to get to a form that cuts through the air efficiently. It was really up to date with its time. Under the elegant body, there was a rare, completely independent rear wheel suspension for that time and a 3.8-liter in-line six-cylinder engine that had proven itself to win D-Type racing cars at the grueling 24 hours of Le Mans in the years 1955, 1956. and 1957. The result was a very nimble, yet conformed car that could easily reach three -digit speeds. A larger 4.2-liter in-line six-cylinder replaced the proven 3.8 in 1964. A 5.3 liter V12 was added in 1971.

The high-tech suspension, the racing-tested engine and the advanced chassis made themselves an excellent racing car, and they drove. On April 3, 1961, Sir Graham Hill struck rivals on the hilly racetrack of Oulton Park such as the British rivals Aston Martin and the legendary Italians from Ferrari. E-types soon fought on routes across Europe and North America and would do so far into the 1970s.

The form factor of the E-Type would be subject to minor changes during its 14-year lifespan by three different "series". Coupés, roadsters and two-plus-two layouts have all corrected the basic e-type formula in any way, but have never deviated too far from this breathtaking silhouette. A total of over 72,000 e-types were produced until the production was discontinued in early 1975.

The E-Type remains the most iconic car in the eventful history of Jaguar and will be one of the very big ones in the pantheon of the most important cars that the world has ever seen.

This Amalgam model in the 1:18 scale on the perfect scale of the Jaguar E-Type is delivered in a luxurious black box with a protective outer bearing envelope. Each model is mounted on a polished black acrylic base, which is protected by transparent acrylic dust cover. The basis contains a brochure with the certificate of authenticity as well as information and accompanying material to the car. The model title and the original branding are displayed on a polished stainless steel plaque, which is attached to the front end of the base.
