For sale is a detailed model of the Porsche 917K Gulf Winner Daytona 1970 in the color blue in 1:18 scale from Amalgam.
A notice: This is a 'cerbside' model and has no moving parts.
This beautiful model of the Porsche 917K in scale 1: 8 is based on Auto No. 2, which was driven by Pedro Rodríguez and Leo Kinnunen in the 24 hours of Daytona in 1970 with a single stint by Brian Redman to victory -degree High Bankings The Daytona Speedway, the team of ex-aston Martin RennTeamm manager John Wyer sponsored by Golf, ended the race with 1-2, with Jo Siffert and Redman (in his actual car) to take the second podium. The car leading with number 2 destroyed its rivals and broke the distance record by 190 miles, 48 rounds before #28 work ferrari. It was the first race in which the iconic Porsche 917K took part, and this victory was practically the beginning of the dominance of the 917K in the WSC for the next two seasons.
This model was handcrafted in our workshops in cooperation and support for Porsche and completed with regard to original surfaces, materials, archive images and drawings. The use of extremely precise digital scans of the original car enabled us to perfectly reproduce every detail in the scale. In addition, it was subjected to a detailed test by both engineering and design teams in order to ensure complete presentation accuracy.
Each amalgam model in 1:18 scale is supplied in a luxurious black box with a protective outer bearing envelope. Each model is mounted on a polished black acrylic base, which is protected by a clear acrylic dust cover. In the base there is a booklet with the authenticity certificate as well as information and accompanying material for the car. The model title and the original branding are attached to a polished stainless steel sticker at the front of the base.
