Background to the original vehicle
The Ferrari 250 LM with the chassis 6119 was sold to the Swiss privateer Dieter Spoerry and his Scuderia Filipinetti sold. His first outing was in the 1000 km race in Monthléry in 1964, before he took part in 1965 Le Mans started. Spoerry and Armand Boller reached there in the race with start number 27 6th overall and won their class in Monza. After an eventful history, the vehicle changed hands several times, was added to a collection in the Middle East in 2010 and was later completely restored by Ferrari - a real piece of motorsport history.
