Chassis 5909 was piloted in 1964 at the Nassau Tourist Trophy by Bob Grossman under the Scuderia Bear with the start number 90. At the end of November, the vehicle took second place in the class as well as third place in the overall classification. At the Nassau TT held again in December of the same year, Grossman became class winner and reached fourth place in the overall standings. Before that, the car was briefly in use by Luigi Chinetti's racing team N.A.R.T., before Bob Grossman of Scuderia Bear took over the vehicle.

After the active racing use, another glamorous chapter began: in 1975, chassis 5909 won the renowned Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance. The car was also presented at events such as the Tour Auto 2005 or the Le Mans Classic 2008. After a comprehensive full restoration, it was seen again for the first time in 2013 at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elégance – an impressive proof of its historic significance.
