Old batteries can contain pollutants that can damage the environment or health if not properly stored or disposal. Batteries also contain important raw materials such as iron, zinc, manganese or nickel and can be used.
Old batteries and batteries can be handed over at the public collection points of the municipality free of charge and wherever batteries and batteries are sold in the relevant type.
Pollutant batteries or batteries are marked with the following symbols in order to refer to the household waste disposal ban. The chemical symbol for the heavy metal is given under the sign:
