A notice: This is a 'cerbside' model and has no moving parts.

This perfect model of the Ford GT40 in scale 1: 8 is based on the chassis #1075, which was victorious in 1969 at Le Mans's 24-hour race. Controlled by Jacky Ickx and Jackie Oliver, the car with number 6 recorded the real closest run goal in the history of the 24 hours of Le Mans and one of the largest in the history of motorsport, which after 372 rounds Hans Hermanns Porsche 908 (390 feet) beat. It was a classic underdog story: Porsche had already completed three out of ten races before the end and was considered a strong favorite for the first win in Le Mans. 16 Porsches competed, more than a third of the field, and Porsche indeed led 90 % of the race. At 11 a.m., however, the gearbox of the leading 917 broke and the Ickx and Oliver Ford took the lead. The race ended in a 3-hour sprint, whereby the Ford was fighting with exhaust gas problems, while he was persecuted by the Porsche 908 by Herrmann and Gérard Larrousse, who even struggled with mechanical problems on brakes and engine. Ickx knew that Herrmann would overtake if he led to the Mulsanne straight, but he could win past him again and then hold the lead for the rest of a round. The cars crossed the finish line less than a minute before the finish line and had to complete another round. The Ford had always driven only 23 laps with a tank filling, but suddenly had to win an additional round. Ickx pretended a lack of performance due to a lack of fuel and left Herrmann past him early on the Mulsanne straight before using the slipstream just before the end of the 5km straight to overtake him again. Ickx held Herrmann to cross the finish line first and played Porsche for another year.
